Revealed: The Secret To A Positive
& Peaceful Postpartum
How to enjoy a soulful, supported and smooth
transition into parenting with your new baby.
But the sad fact is that, despite the excitement that preparing for a new baby brings, so many new parents find themselves completely unprepared, overwhelmed, exhausted and under supported over the postpartum weeks and months.
It doesn't have to be this way ...
"The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. ... A mother is something absolutely new." — Osho
The transition into motherhood and the 24/7 care of your newborn will challenge and transform you on every level whether you be a brand new parent or are welcoming a subsequent baby into your family.... And if you haven't thought about and prepared for this life changing experience, your chance of having a smooth and peaceful postpartum is little to none.
"I knew I was pregnant,
but why didn't anyone tell me I was going to have a baby?"

Those First Weeks Are Meant To Be The Happiest Time, However Without Proper Preparation So Many New Parents Are Struggling
Over twenty years of working with and caring for pregnant and new mothers I have seen the same patterns emerging time and time again.
New parents spend a lot of time thinking about the birth of their baby but often do not put the same care and consideration into planning for the following weeks.
By not adequately preparing they are inevitably experiencing:
But I promise that it needn't be this way...
Women, birthing people and partners who invest time and energy into planning for and being supported during their postpartum weeks have a whole different story. They report feeling nurtured, nourished and less stressed as well as more confident, prepared and satisfied as new parents.
We often prioritise planning for our baby's 'birth'-day, however, I believe that it's equally important to plan for your postpartum so that you are prepared for life with your newborn.
The truth is that postpartum is often woefully overlooked as we focus instead on the pregnancy and birth.
Many expectant mothers feel that they've done all the right things, like spending countless hours researching their pregnancy symptoms, buying all the must haves, planning for their ideal birth and daydreaming of their new arrival, however, the most critical 'to-do' that will provide for an easier and more seamless transition into motherhood sadly remains undone....
But for those women who do know, a more peaceful and joyful postpartum awaits them.
All it takes is an intentional dose of courage and an understanding of the importance of the postpartum weeks as being vitally important for the health and wellbeing of a mother and the family as a whole.
"Sometimes asking for help is the most meaningful example of self-reliance" — Anon
It is possible to have a peaceful and positive postpartum
with your new baby
But it's important to understand that to experience this, your postpartum weeks need to be thought about and planned for in advance during pregnancy so that you are prepared with the care and knowledge that you need.
While the majority of new mothers and new parents will struggle through their postpartum, there is a big opportunity for those who see the sense in doing something different — in choosing an alternative way; a way that has been used by many other cultures for centuries.
All over the world and in virtually every indigenous culture there are systems in place focussed on the care and attention to a new mother after the birth of her baby.
'The Golden Month' in China, 'The Sacred Window' in India, or 'La Cuarentena' in South America, each signifies a period of time (often 30 to 40 days) where the newborn mother is cared for, nurtured and nourished so that she has the time and space to heal, recover and rejuvenate.
However, for those of us who don't have access to these transformative traditions, there is still hope..
The Benefits Of The Slow Living Movement
All around the world some people are seeing the benefits from living their lives more intentionally — by taking the time to slow down and live more mindfully.
It's about choosing to do and have less and making our lives more spacious and relaxed, so we can create the time to focus on the things that are truly meaningful to us.
The Slow Living movement has much to teach us about what is important to us and offers insights and wisdom as to how we might accept things as they are, simplifying our world.
For new mothers, this way of living is often key to mental & physical health and wellbeing but there will certainly be challenges along the way.
And that is why I created The Art of Slow Postpartum™ online course.
Imagine feeling prepared and confident about what is to come with a plan
that will allow you to create the most positive postpartum possible

months following your baby's birth

Introducing

Postpartum — Even If Your Last Postpartum Wasn't Ideal or You've Never Experienced
Postpartum Before!
I will share with you my unique Slow Postpartum plan that gives you everything you
need to step gently — and easily — into motherhood.
What's In The Course?
Each module has been expertly designed to move you from feeling overwhelmed to
feeling prepared and confident for your upcoming postpartum
Lesson 1: Be Intentional
Failing to prepare is preparing to fail. If you don't know what you want your postpartum to look like, how can you make it a reality? In this lesson we explore your own personal values and parenting philosophy and how this can help you to intentionally manifest the postpartum of your dreams.
Lesson 2: Be Prepared
In this lesson we explore how you can plan for the hurdles that can get in the way of your ideal postpartum so you can avoid challenging circumstances like exhaustion, depletion, and relationship breakdowns . We will ensure that you have the resources necessary to mitigate for these challenges so that you feel that you are prepared and protected.
Lesson 3: Be Supported
You've heard the saying 'it takes a village to raise a child' but for many of us, that support is lacking. In this lesson we will explore how to 'gather' your modern day village as well as looking at the things you may need to outsource or ask for help with. We'll also touch on one of the most common barriers that we might come up against when seeking out the support we most need and deserve.
Lesson 4: Be Connected
Learn the art of "baby proofing" your relationships, so you don't have to experience the difficulties and friction most couples will experience postpartum. We also focus on how to navigate potential problematic family dynamics that could undermine your confidence and impact your postpartum.
Lesson 5: Be Loved
Discover the little-known power in maximising your unique 'hormone cocktail' so that you can ensure that you have what you need to fall deeply in love with your new baby and breastfeed successfully (if you choose to breastfeed).
Lesson 6: Be Inspired
In this lesson we explore the similarities of traditional care practiced in virtually every indigenous culture and how we can plan to bring some of the most beneficial practices into our own postpartum plan.
Lesson 7: Be Healed
Many women are left surprised and shocked by some of the physical changes that they had not anticipated or prepared for. In this lesson we will discuss how a little understanding and preparation can help you to reduce (or avoid entirely) some of the postpartum issues that many women suffer, so you can feel confident and at ease in your new body.
Lesson 8: Be Nourished
Did you know that your nutritional status after birth plays an essential part in the healing and recovery of you body as well as your hormonal balance and even mental and emotional well being. Not only that but there are specific nutritional guidelines as to what to eat (and what to avoid) in the weeks following birth that are important to understand so that you can ensure that you are receiving the optimal nutrition from the foods that you are eating.
Lesson 9: Be Transformed
Your journey throughout pregnancy, birth and into motherhood will likely be one of the most powerful and potent transformations of your life. In this lesson we explore and celebrate your personal 'Matresence' and the profound changes you will travail when you become a mother, so you can discover the life-changing and meaningful lessons it has to teach you.
But That's Not All...
After directly and indirectly working with over 10,000 pregnant and postpartum women, I've gathered a few extra resources that I know you'll love
